Warm Spaces

Many households are struggling with the cost of living, including the steep rise in the price of their heating and energy bills. Individuals and families are facing tough decisions about whether and when they may be able to afford to heat their home.


To try and help our neighbours navigate this challenging time, churches in Radford Semele, (Radford Semele Baptist Church and St Nicholas Church) are working together to provide warm spaces for people to use.


Warm Spaces are free, non-judgmental public places where people can go to get warm, save money on their heating costs, avoid social isolation, receive vital support and advice while staying as well as possible.


We will develop what is available depending on need.



The churches are looking to offer places where people can come to keep warm and share a hot drink.


Also looking to provide games or other activities, suggestions welcome.


The current plan is to open the churches during weekdays as follows:


Mondays:       St Nicholas Church             9:30 – 12 noon


Tuesdays:      St Nicholas Church             12.00 - 3.30pm


Wednesdays: RSBC                                   10.00 – 12.30pm

(Alternate Weds there is a Bible group    2.30-3.30pm)


Thursdays:   St Nicholas Church               10.00 – 3.30pm


Fridays:        RSBC (Community Cafe)        10.00 – 12noon

                     Community Cafe is closed Friday 24th 

                    St Nicholas Church                 2.00 – 3.30pm
